Planning a trip to the Outer Banks with another family? Make vacation memories together while still having your own separate retreats when you reserve White Dolphin. This Buck Island duplex features identical layouts on either side, each with its own living area, full kitchen, rec room and four bedrooms for a total of eight bedrooms under one roof! The top and bottom levels include interior access to the other side, making it painless to share spaces when you want to. Finest of all, you'll only be a short walk to the beach (there's also complimentary oceanfront parking) as well as a variety of resort-style amenities available exclusively to Buck Island guests.
Cooking and clean-up will be a breeze since you'll have TWO KITCHENS - twice the counterspace, twice the appliances, twice the convenience! Both open-concept living areas are located on the top level and feature vaulted ceilings and a wet bar. Two dining areas plus bar seating at both kitchens can accommodate the entire group at mealtime. Just outside, the sun decks on either side are BOTH equipped with a hot tub. In the evenings, head downstairs to shoot some pool in the rec room. The garage on the other side includes a poker table and foosball table for additional indoor entertainment options.
White Dolphin is conveniently located in the gated community of Buck Island, just steps from the resort's Olympic-size outdoor swimming pool, kiddie pool, tennis court, basketball court and playground. This amazing location also means you'll be just a short walk over to the eateries, grocery stores and specialty food markets in Monteray Plaza. Timbuck II Shopping Village is located just across Ocean Trail, where you'll find a variety of stores, additional dining options and family-friendly recreational activities.
Adore the location and amenities of White Dolphin but don't need rather as much space? Each side is available to rent separately as a four-bedroom home and locked off from the adjoining unit (see BU18L or BU18R).
Family Animals allowed. No smoking/vaping. Fireplace not available for guest use.

Booking the best Corolla vacation rental experience:
Getting the best rental home value:
- June, July, and August are high season in Corolla. To get the best rental home for your budget, we strongly suggest reserving in the Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at popular attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Currituck vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
- Reserve your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually become available a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Property managers sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group.
- Booking websites often offer their guests an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Often, property management companies supply Currituck area travel guides that include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Currituck visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Choosing the best rental in the Currituck area:
- First and foremost, have your family agree to vacation dates and a spending budget.
- Note the number beds and the bed configuration your family requires. White Dolphin: Hot Tub
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is regularly accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, email the property management company before booking the home. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds. You will need to determine what is best for your vacation family.
- Are you visiting for a single attraction? Use a map search to locate nearby properties.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental
- If your family is bringing pets, you will need a rental that allows animals. Request information on breed, weight, and type requirements. Be aware that some property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
Tips to have a terrific stay:
- Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and save the instructions to your phone.
- To make certain that damages are not linked to your family's visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas during check in. text the rental manager right away to report any damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, elevator or appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents many concerns.
- Be a good neighbor. Frequently, nearby homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Ensure you protect the owner (and your things!) by locking the property when you are away, just like you would back home.
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the property to confirm you've collected all belongings. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the rental a final time and scan for damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, remember to take photos of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Hosts rely on good reviews to drive new reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your review and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
