Make Heron Haven your family's nest during your next Outer Banks vacation. This bespoke-constructed home in the Currituck Club is located on the 10th fairway surrounded by mature trees. The top-level great room features an open-concept layout ideal for entertaining and spending quality time with family and friends. Upgrades include vaulted ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows, wood floors, and a gas fireplace in the living area (off-season use only). When you're not dining out, prepare meals in the well-equipped kitchen with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. All the common areas open up onto roomy sun decks for effortless indoor to outdoor transitions.
At the end of the nighttime, getaway to the primary suite on the main level, which includes a private bath with dual vanities, jetted tub and sizable walk-in shower. Four additional bedrooms are located downstairs, two of which include ensuite baths. The mid-level den can serve as an additional living space, with a comfortable sleeper couch and TV. The ground level is dedicated to fun and relaxation. Between the billiard table, foosball and ping-pong, Heron Haven's game room offers a variety of indoor recreation options. Outside, splash in the private pool or soak in the hot tub. There's also a grille and outdoor dining set for poolside cookouts.
Located near the community's main clubhouse, Heron Haven is just a short walk to the Currituck Club exercise center, outdoor pool, tennis, shuffleboard and more. Just past the clubhouse, a Harris Teeter is located at the entrance of the community so groceries and amenities will always be within walking distance. Golf enthusiasts can book a tee-time or clinic at the esteemed 18-hole championship course. During the summer months, getting to the beach is simple using the complimentary trolley service, and a trolley stop is conveniently located just steps away from Heron Haven. Once you arrive at the beach, you'll be greeted by a valet who can assist you with carrying all of your gear (Memorial Day - Labor Day).

How to get the best Corolla vacation property experience:
Cost saving strategies:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Currituck area. Reserve your vacation home in Fall or Spring months to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Currituck vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
- The earlier your group can book, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are reserved early. Booking your rental six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.
- Some property management companies offer discounts or promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Check with your property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your family.
- Property management companies typically offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
- Many management companies supply Currituck area visitor guides which often include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local companies, or through a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Currituck area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Make a plan and choose a perfectrental:
- Start by selecting a vacation week and a maximum budget.
- Hot Tub
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts is usually accessible online. If they are not listed, email the property manager before you book your rental. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to establish what is best for your vacation.
- Are you looking for particular amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters with amenity lists. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
- Some rental properties allow pets, and others don't. Allowable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the owner about allowable breeds and types before booking.
More considerations for your visit:
- Put the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Document any damages to the property during check in, and immediately contact the property manager. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be valuable if damages are assessed.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, television set or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call prevents many problems.
- Be a good neighbor. Frequently, adjacent homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are away, just like you would at home.
- On check-out day, take a final walk-through to make sure you have not forget anything. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the property one final time and scan for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, take video of the property to record its condition.
- Did your group have a excellent time? Many rental websites make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your rental and/or property manager was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was amiss and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
