Sticking to your rental home budget:
- Summer time is high season in the Currituck area. To find the best vacation home within budget, we highly recommend reserving in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular Currituck attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer.
- In the Currituck area, The earlier your group can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved early. Booking your rental home up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your rental home.
- Owners sometimes offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your family.
- Property managers typically offer customers an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for details.
