Finding the best vacation property experience:
When to visit Corolla & When to reserve a rental home:
- The earlier your group can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked very early. Booking your rental six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
- June, July, and August are high season in Corolla. Reserve your rental property in the Fall or Spring to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season.
- Owners sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if discounts are available for your family before you book.
- Property managers often offer renters an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
- Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Currituck area visitors guides which often include special offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Currituck visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Finding the perfect vacation rental in Corolla:
- Choose a designated group leader, select your vacation week, and select a max budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration you need. And Breathe: Pool/Hot Tub, Rec Room, Putting Green has 7 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Currituck vacation rental search.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly accessible on booking websites. If not, contact the property management company before booking your home. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- If your group is traveling with pets, search for a pet-friendly vacation rental. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Usually, hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
- If there's an individual Currituck destination you are enamored with, search for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. .
More considerations for your visit:
- Add the property manager's contact information to your phone. Understand and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
- Lock your rental property while you are away! Don't let burglars spoil your family vacation.
- Upon check-in, note any damages to the property and immediately alert the owner. Keep records of all coorespondence.
- Be a good neighbor. Often, nearby homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking policies is the right thing to do.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected all belongings. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Please make sure to walk through the rental one final time and look for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the host is not available, remember to take video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your group have a excellent time? Many rental management companies make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your property and/or property manager was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was defective and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
