Tips and Tricks to get the very best Currituck rental experience:
When to book & When to go:
- To book the most suitable rental within budget, we highly recommend booking in the Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at Currituck restaurants, beaches, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Currituck vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- In the Currituck area, The sooner you can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are reserved very early. Booking your vacation home 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
- Some hosts offer rate reductions for veterans and active duty military. Check with your property manager to see if discounts are available for your group before you book.
- Property management companies frequently offer guests an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
- Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Currituck area visitors guides which often include special deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. - Keep the property locked while you are out! Don't let thieves spoil your trip.
- Double-check the property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items at departure. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
