Surrounded by Sanders Bay and the ocean, this sprawling, family-friendly home provides the ideal escape for your next visit to sunny Corolla! Fun enfolds you; all you have to do is look - check out the close by Wild Horse Adventure Tours, Currituck Beach Lighthouse, Historic Corolla Park, and Duck Town Park Boardwalk for days out on the town. A beach day can be any day with the beach being so close. Appreciate kayaking, sailing, and swimming.

For amusements at home, you can play sand volleyball or basketball in the driveway, swim in the private pool, concoct drinks at the tropical outdoor bar (including a mini refrigerator and TV!), or watch movie marathons on one of the other enormous TVs.

You will find a cavernous main living area adorned with ample seating, a huge TV for streaming your favorite shows and movies, high acoustic ceilings, and pretty vistas. (The fireplace is not operational.) In this space, you will also have effortless access to a bar, the dining area, and the full kitchen. The chef of your family will delight in showing off their culinary skills as the meal prep space is plentiful, and the nifty kitchen gadgets are in abundance!

From many rooms in the home, you can catch elegant outdoor vistas and walk out onto the home's many outdoor living areas. Unwind and rejuvenate on the sprawling balcony, where the sunrise and sunset vistas are really beautiful. Or take a break from the sun on the covered deck. Additional interior perks include a game room, a washer/dryer, and central air-conditioning.

Outside, savor North Carolina at its best when you dip into the pool or hot tub. Participate in some playful competition on the shared tennis court. Or simply appreciate each other's company under the radiant sun.

This vacation home is located in Monteray Shores, a neighborhood in Corolla, and is in a rural area and by the sea. The area's natural beauty can be seen at Outer Banks Beaches and Corolla Beach. Find your best deal:

  • Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • To get the largest rental within your budget, we highly recommend reserving in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at your favorite Currituck restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Currituck vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your family.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local Currituck visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitor guides have deals for local accommodations, tours and attractions.

Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to establish what configuration is right for your vacation.
  • Traveling with pets? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional fees or charges may be applied to your invoice.

  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • At departure, take a walk-through to make sure you didn't forget any personal items. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property one final time and look for any damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, take photographs of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Leave a review! Property managers rely on excellent reviews to stimulate more reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will appreciate that you share your feedback find their best vacation rental. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
