Community Conveniences: Beat the 4pm traffic by using the HOA facilities in the summer until your 4pm check-in at The Currituck Club. The Community provides - No Cost Use of the Exercise Center, Tennis Courts, Pickleball Courts, Playground, Basketball Courts, Volleyball, equipment for use at the sports complex, relax at one of the 3 community Swimming Pools (seasonal)- 1 located at the main entrance with snack/drink bar, 1 located at the south end, and 1 located at the north end, Planned Community Activities (seasonal), a Shuttle service (seasonal) that will pick you and your gear up and drop you off at the end of the day, or rent a golf cart and travel to the beach and pools, grocery store, eateries, bars, ice cream and more.

Ideally you'd want to book this home so you can take advantage of another full day by getting to Corolla early and taking advantage of the summer amenities the neighborhood has to offer until your 4pm check-in and beating the grocery store rush by going to the close by Harris Teeter while everybody else in town is rushing to get in the their homes.

  • The sooner your group can book, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are booked early. Booking your rental home 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
  • Summertime is high season in the Currituck area. To book the best vacation home for your budget, we strongly suggest booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at Currituck restaurants, beaches, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Currituck vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer discounts for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if special discounts are available for your family.
  • Property managers usually offer guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally costs between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses.   • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • When it's time to leave, complete a final walk-through to confirm you did not forget anything. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property one final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host is not available, remember to take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property owners rely on excellent feedback to drive new reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will appreciate that you share your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective.
