How to book the best Currituck vacation property experience:
Sticking to your budget:
- To find the best rental home within your budget, we strongly suggest reserving in the Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at restaurants, beaches, and activities.
- Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Management companies and individual rental owners often offer guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for additional information.
- Look for your local Currituck area magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitors guides contain deals for nearby tours, shops, and attractions.
How to select the perfect rental home in Corolla:
- First and foremost, have your group commit to the best dates and a max budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. 2 Minute Walk to the Beach! has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly available on booking websites. If not, email or call the property owner before reserving the vacation home. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches. You'll need to determine what is best for your vacation group.
- If there's a certain Currituck beach you are enamored with, keep an eye out for homes that are either near by, or those that cater to your desires.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
- Traveling with pets? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Extra fees or may be applied to your invoice.
More considerations:
- Put the owner's information in your smartphone.
- To make sure damages are not linked to your stay, make a record of any problem areas upon check in. Call the rental manager immediately to report any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a fantastic resource to find the best local beaches.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Keep the property locked while you are gone! Don't let burglars spoil your family vacation.
- Upon check-out, complete a walk-through to confirm you didn't forget anything. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Remember to leave feedback! Property managers rely on excellent feedback to inspire new reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will will be grateful for your review and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
