This bicycle/pedestrian-friendly area is close to TimBuck II Shopping Village and near a seven-acre supplied lake that is great for bird-watching, kayaking, paddleboarding, and fishing. Stroll around the lake and keep an eye out for turtles, ducks, and egrets. Eateries, stores, grocery stores, golf, and wildlife refuges are all within painless driving distance.

At home, start the day with coffee on the deck or enclosed sunroom, appreciating the salty air. Inside, the main level features an airy, open floor plan and coastal vibe. The full kitchen makes meal prep simple, and the whole group can dine together at the enormous, window-front table. Spend the day at the beach, then use the convenient outdoor shower on the patio to rinse off when you return. Head up to the loft for some peaceful conversation, a puzzle, or a good book. In the evening, snuggle up together to stream the latest release in the living room. With TVs in three of the four bedrooms, everybody will find something to watch.   • Summer is the most expensive season in the Currituck area. Booking your vacation home in Fall or Spring is our favorite way to save money on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable homes. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner if your family qualifies for a discount.
  • Booking websites usually offer guests an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses.
