Strategies for getting the perfect Corolla rental experience:
Get the most from your vacation rental budget:
- Summer time is high season in the Currituck area. To get the best value, shift your group's vacation week to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer great weather, , and reduced traffic.
- In the Currituck area, The earlier your group can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved early. Booking your vacation property 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
- Property management companies sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your host or property manager if discounts are available for your group before you book.
- Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.
- Many management companies supply Currituck area visitors guides that include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Currituck visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
How to choose the best vacation rental:
- Select a designated group leader, choose your vacation week, and choose a budget.
- Note the number beds and the configuration you need. Serendipity: Private Pool, Hot Tub, Screened Porch has 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly available on booking pages. Otherwise, call the host before you reserve your home. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds. You will need to work out which bed configuration is suitable for your vacation family.
- Are you looking for particular amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking.
- If your group is traveling with pets, you will need a pet-friendly property. Get information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Often, property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.
Have a great stay:
- Get the host's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home.
- To ensure that damages aren't linked to your family's visit, note any problem areas during arrival. message the rental manager right away to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers bothering your peaceful home. Use the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would've not otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can typically help. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Ensure you protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property when you are away, just like you would back home.
- When it's time to leave, take a walk-through to confirm you haven't forget anything. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, take photos of the rental to record its condition.
- Did your group have a excellent stay? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your property and/or host was terrific, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was amiss and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
