2024, PRIVATE POOL is open from 5/11/24 -10/11/24

SPARKLE CLUB: Guests will be able to arrive at their vacation home at 12:00 pm with access to the first level of the home and the pool area only (be advised the pool and spa may not be cleaned by noon, if the home offers a private pool). Please do not attempt to go to any other level in your vacation home until 4:00 pm check in time. We have stationed a housekeeping professional in Sparkle Club homes from 10 am to 4 pm on each change over day. The housekeeping team will continue their work until 4 pm to provide your family with additional cleaning for a special vacation! Prior to leaving at 4 pm the housekeeper will walk through the home with you to ensure your satisfaction.

Linens and towels supplied at no additional cost. This home will provide sheets for all beds and the beds will be made with the exception of sleep couches, top bunk beds and trundle beds in which case the sheets are supplied. This home also provides 1 bath towel and 1 wash cloth per person the home sleeps, 2 hand towels per full bathroom, 1 hand towel per half bathroom and a bath mat for each shower or tub.

Getting the most from your vacation rental budget:

• Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
• Summer months are high season in Corolla. To get the largest rental home within budget, we highly recommend reserving in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at your favorite Currituck restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August.
• Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if discounts are available for your group before you book.
• Property management companies frequently offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
• Look for your local Currituck area magazine upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitor guides contain coupons for local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

• Some rentals allow pets, and some don't. Acceptable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the property management company about pets before booking.

• Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, intercom or coffee maker. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call prevents lots of concerns.
• Keep the property locked while you are away! Don't let thieves spoil your trip.
• Record any issues with the rental during check in, and immediately send them to the owner. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be valuable if a dispute arises.
• Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious vacationers disrupting your peace. Use the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and attractions you would've never otherwise known about!
• Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
• Double-check every room of the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all belongings at departure. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
• Inspect the property a final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise walking through with the host whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take photos of the property to record its condition at check-out.
• Leave a review! Hosts rely on good ratings to propel more bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will will be grateful for your feedback find their best vacation rental. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
