Impeccably decorated and thoughtfully furnished inside and out to provide tons of comfortable seating for togetherness or peaceful relaxation. Sleeping 16, the cavernous rooms give the whole property an open, beachy feel. Located on a peaceful cul-de-sac in the Ocean Sands, Ocean Lakes Community, with a striking view of the supplied freshwater lake and just a short walk to the Atlantic Ocean. The kids will adore fishing and crabbing lakeside, playing in the sun and surf at the simple, private beach access, or splashing and romping in the pool while you relax in the hot tub. In addition, use of the community Olympic-sized pool, tennis and pickleball courts are supplied. Access to the Corolla bicycle path and close proximity to tons of shopping and eateries. Sandwiched between the Timbuck II and Food Lion shopping centers (1 mile to the north) and the Harris Teeter shopping center (1 mile to the south) the location doesn't get any better.

All Outer Banks Blue properties provide bed linens and bath towels for a modest fee added to every reservation. We provide 1 bath towel and washcloth per advertised occupant. We provide 1 hand towel and 1 bar of soap per bathroom sink. We also provide kitchen towels. Beds are made prior to your arrival, and we provide a starter supply of toilet paper, bathroom soap, paper towels, and dishwasher detergent.

Sticking to a rental budget:

• In the Currituck area, The sooner your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved very early. Reserving your rental home up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
• Summer time is high season in Corolla. To find the largest rental home within budget, we suggest reserving in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at Currituck restaurants, tours, and activities.
• Owners sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if rate reductions are available for your group.
• Property managers often offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
• Many management companies supply Currituck area visitors guide magazines which often include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Currituck area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Choosing the best rental:

• First, have your family commit to date ranges and a budget.

• Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally available online. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property management company before you book your home. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches.
• If your group is vacationing with pets, you must reserve a pet-friendly vacation rental. Make sure to ask for information on breed, weight, and type requirements. Usually, property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
• Are you visiting for a specific event? If so, use a map search to find nearby rentals.
• Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are included before booking.

Advice for your stay:

• We recommend storing the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
• Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, television set or WIFI setup. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call prevents many difficulties.
• Keep the property locked while you are away! Don't let crooks spoil your vacation.
• Note any damages to the property during check in, and immediately contact the host. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be very helpful if damages are attributed to your stay.
• Be a good neighbor. Often, surrounding homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
• Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
• Upon check-out, complete a walk-through to make sure you did not forget any personal items. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
• Walk through the property one final time and scan for any damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take video of the rental to record its condition.
• Did you have a wonderful vacation? Many rental websites make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your property and/or property manager was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
