This vacation home has been handsomely refreshed with the idea that a rental can feel unique and personal rather than generic and impersonal. Located in the beach community of Whalehead in Corolla, this fresh home features two en suite master bedrooms and two bedrooms having two twin beds each and a shared bathroom -- ideal for one or two families, a girls’ weekend, or a couple wanting a comfortable home that's neither too big nor too modest.

For the hot summer months, the private pool is invigorating, and the covered pergola poolside will allow for hours spent reading, napping or socializing without getting sunburned. And the fun can continue into the evening with the grille fired up and the lights on! There is a double swing on the mid-level deck, also a nice spot to savor by yourself or with a companion.

The home comes with beach umbrellas and chairs, as well as a decent collection of body boards and sandcastle building "equipment" for the kids. There’s also a cart to carry all this, making the short walk to the beach even easier. It’s only a three min. walk down a nice paved boardwalk to the beach. For those familiar with Whalehead, this is the Barracuda Walkway.

The home also offers some privacy, as it is surrounded by stands of pines, making it feel like it’s tucked in its own little cocoon.

Located near the beach, this vacation home is in Whalehead Beach, a neighborhood in Corolla. The area's natural beauty can be seen at Outer Banks Beaches and Corolla Beach. Outer Banks Center for Wildlife Education and Corolla Adventure Golf and Bumper Cars are also worth visiting.
