Tricks and tips to get the perfect vacation property experience:
When to visit & When to reserve a Corolla rental home:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. To get the largest rental within budget, we recommend reserving in Fall or Spring months. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular attractions and restaurants.
- Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually open twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacations during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Some property management companies offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
- Property management companies frequently offer renters an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
- Look for your local visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, travel guides have deals for local shops and restaurants.
Planning and picking your Currituck vacation home:
- Select a group lead, select your vacation dates, and select a budget.
- Spa has 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, reach out to the property manager before you reserve the rental. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks.
- Visiting for a single attraction or event? If so, use a map search to find nearby rentals.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking.
- If your group is traveling with pets, you will need a property that allows animals. Get specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Some property managers charge additional pet fees.
Have a wonderful stay:
- Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Save the directions to your phone, and take a printed backup.
- Document any issues with the rental upon arrival, and immediately contact the property manager. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are useful if damages are assessed.
- Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
- Respect the neighborhood. Frequently, surrounding homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Keep your rental home locked while you're away! Don't let crooks spoil your vacation.
- Double-check the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all personal items at check-out. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the rental a final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the host is not available, ensure that you take photos of the rental to record its condition.
- Leave a review! Property managers rely on excellent reviews to compel future reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will will be grateful for your review and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
