Tricks and tips to get the perfect Currituck rental home experience:
How to get the best rental value:
- Booking in Fall or Spring months is our best tip for saving money on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable properties. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Currituck vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer vacation rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Property management companies usually offer guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Look for your local Currituck area magazine upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitor guides have discounts for nearby tours and attractions.
How to select the perfect vacation home in the Currituck area:
- First and foremost, have your group commit to the best dates and a budget.
- Decide how many beds and the bed configuration you need. Pool& HotTub,Golf Community,Family Beach, Foosball has 8 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Currituck rentals search.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts is usually available online. If they are not listed, email or call the host before you book your home. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to establish what configuration is right for your vacation family.
- If there's a particular Currituck attraction you long to visit, browse homes that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. .
- If your family is traveling with pets, you will need a pet-friendly vacation rental. Request information on breed, size, and type requirements. Often, property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.
More tips for your visit:
- Store the owner's information in your smartphone.
- To make sure damages aren't attributed to your visit, inspect for any problem areas when you arrive. Contact the property manager immediately to document your findings. If there is a dispute, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or thermostat. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent lots of concerns.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a terrific source for finding the best local beaches.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Keep your rental home locked while you're away! Don't let thieves ruin your holiday.
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all personal items. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Please make sure to walk through the property one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, take photos and video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your group have a excellent stay? Many rental managers make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your property and/or property management company was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was defective and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
