Tricks and tips to get the best Currituck vacation rental experience:
Getting the most from your rental budget:
- In the Currituck area, The earlier your group can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved early. Reserving your rental home 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Currituck area. To find the best value, try shifting your family's Currituck vacation dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer great temperatures, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Currituck vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group.
- Property managers frequently offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
- Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Currituck area visitors guide magazines that include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Currituck area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Selecting and booking the bestrental:
- Select a group lead, choose your trip dates, and select a maximum budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration you need. \"Seas the Day\", located in the heart of beautiful Corolla, Outer Banks of NC has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is almost always accessible online. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property owner before reserving your home. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to establish which bed configuration is suitable for your vacation.
- If your family is vacationing with pets, filter your search for a pet-friendly property. Request details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Usually, property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
- Are you looking for unique amenities? Most websites include search filters for amenities. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the best rental home.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are included before booking.
Advice for your stay:
- Get the host's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property. We recommend storing the host's contact information in your smartphone.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call prevents a lot of difficulties.
- Protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental while you are away, just like you would back home.
- To ensure that damages aren't linked to your visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas upon check in. Speak to the host right away to record your findings. If there is a dispute, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Often, nearby homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Re-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all personal items on check-out day. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the rental a final time and look for any damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, remember to take photographs of the rental to record its condition.
- Did your family have a great vacation? Many rental managers make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your rental and/or host was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
