Take your 4x4 car to the drive-on beaches of Carova, home of Corolla's Wild Horses, which are just a quarter mile away.

When to reserve a Currituck rental home & When to go:

  • In the Currituck area, The sooner your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are reserved very early. Booking your vacation property six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
  • Summer is high season in Corolla. To find the largest rental home for your budget, we suggest reserving in Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at Currituck restaurants, beaches, and activities.
  • Owners sometimes offer special rates for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Property management companies frequently offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses.   • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the rental to confirm you've collected all belongings. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your family have a excellent stay? Most rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your rental and/or host was fantastic, they would love to hear it.
