Strategies to get the very best Currituck vacation rental experience:
Getting the best rental value:
- Summer months are high season in Corolla. Book your rental property in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Currituck vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- The earlier your group can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are reserved very early. Booking your rental six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Booking websites typically offer guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
- Find a copy of your local Currituck visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, travel guide magazines have offers and deals for nearby tours and attractions.
Use filters to narrow your search:
- Begin by selecting your vacation dates and a max budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. C8202 Casa Corolla. Pool/Hot Tub/Currituck Club Amenities, Golf Discounts has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Currituck rental home search.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is normally available online. Otherwise, contact the property owner before booking the property. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches. You will need to establish what configuration is best for your group.
- Are you looking for unique amenities? Most websites include amenity lists and search filters. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking.
- If your family is bringing pets, you must book a pet-friendly rental. Ask for information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Some property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
Tips for a wonderful stay:
- Get the host's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental property. Store the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Document any issues with the property at check in, and immediately send them to the owner. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be valuable if a dispute is filed.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or kitchen appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent quite a few difficulties.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be an excellent resource to find the best local spots.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can often help. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Ensure you protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home when you are away, just like you would at home.
- On check-out day, take a walk-through to make sure you didn't leave anything behind. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Walk through the rental a final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the host is not available, take photos and video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your family have a fantastic vacation? Many rental managers make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or host was terrific, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
