2023 Upgrades supplied a refreshed top level master bathroom, new bathroom lighting fixtures and top level trim painting. 2022 upgrades included a new washer and dryer, new dishwasher, new park style charcoal grille, 2 new TVs and mid level interior trim painted. Upgrades for 2021 supplied new exterior paint, decks stained and upgraded interior and exterior lighting.

Footprints by the Sound is the ideal place to begin every day of your fun-filled Outer Banks Vacation! Conveniently located near the main entrance to Corolla Light you're just a short walk from the Oceanside pool and activities, beach, Currituck Herritage Park, Currituck Lighthouse, stores and eateries or the Soundfront walking path. The sunsets are spectacular, and you can appreciate star watching from the front deck with a view of the lighthouse. Walk, bicycle or take the community trolley (seasonal) to all of the amenities in this excellent, family friendly community.

Ground Level: Exterior amenities include an enclosed outside shower and park-style charcoal grille. Garage with beach chairs.

Mid Level: Queen Master Bedroom with private bathroom, Queen Master Bedroom with private bathroom including a jetted tub, separate shower and deck access, Bedroom with a DuoBunk (double on bottom, single on top) and deck access shares a full hall bathroom with a Queen Bedroom with deck access. Laundry area with washer and dryer.

Top Level: Great room with flat-screen intelligent TV/DVD, stereo with CD, deck access and a game nook with a 4-person table. (note: gas fireplace is not for guest use). Roomy kitchen with plenty of counter space and prep sink to prepare huge meals for the whole family to savor. Dining room seating for 8, half bathroom and Ships Watch. King Master Bedroom with deck access and private bathroom with jetted bath tub, separate shower and double vanity.

Linens and towels included at no additional cost. This home will provide sheets for all beds and the beds will be made with the exception of sleep couches, top bunk beds and trundle beds in which case the sheets are supplied. This home also provides 1 bath towel and 1 wash cloth per person the home sleeps, 2 hand towels per full bathroom, 1 hand towel per half bathroom and a bath mat for each shower or tub.

Sticking to your rental budget:

  • Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer vacations during holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Currituck area. To get the best value, consider changing your group's trip dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer pleasant temperatures, , and reduced traffic.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your vacationing group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Property managers typically offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.

  • Upon check-out, take a final walk-through to confirm you have not forget anything. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the property a final time and scan for damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager is not available, remember to take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition.
