Tips to get the very best rental experience:
How to get the best value:
- Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer vacations during Winter holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. Reserve your Currituck rental home in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months.
- Some property management companies offer special rates for veterans. Ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your family.
- Booking websites often offer customers an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
- Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Currituck area visitor guide magazines which often include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Finding the best vacation home in Corolla:
- Select a group lead, select your dates, and choose a spending budget.
- Tiki Bar has 6 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts is commonly accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, email the host before booking the rental. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches.
- If your family is bringing pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly property. Get details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Be aware that some property owners charge additional pet fees.
- If there's an individual Currituck destination you are enamored with, keep an eye out for properties that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available before booking
Know before you go:
- Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and save the directions to your smartphone.
- Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Keep the property locked while you are gone! Don't let crooks ruin your holiday.
- To make certain damages aren't attributed to your stay, record any problem areas upon your arrival. Call the rental manager right away to report any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
- Be a good neighbor. Frequently, surrounding homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking rules is the right thing to do.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Re-check every room of the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all belongings at check-out. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your family have a terrific time? Many rental home management companies make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your property and/or property management company was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
