Tricks and tips for getting the best Corolla vacation property experience:
Find your perfect rental home:
- In the Currituck area, The sooner your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are reserved very early. Booking your vacation property six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
- Summer is high season in Corolla. Reserve your rental home in Fall or Spring months to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host if your family qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Property management companies frequently offer renters an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
- Often, property management companies supply Currituck area visitor guide magazines which will include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Currituck visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Filter your rental search:
- Select a group leader, choose your trip dates, and select a spending budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Crazy4Shore: Dog-friendly, Large Private Pool, Hot Tub, 1500 Ft to Beach Access has 7 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is generally available on booking pages. If they are not listed, call the property management company before booking the vacation home. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- Some properties allow pets, and others do not. Acceptable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the property management company about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
- Visiting for a specific event or attraction? Use a map search to locate nearby properties.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental
Tips for a great stay:
- Be sure you get the property manager's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your .
- Property managers are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are away, just like you would back home.
- To make sure no damages are attributed to your visit, make note of any problem areas when you arrive. Contact the host immediately to record your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome vacationers bothering your peaceful home life. Apply the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- At departure, take a final walk-through to confirm you didn't forget any personal items. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your group have a fantastic vacation? Many rental managers make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your property and/or property manager was terrific, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
