Tricks and tips to get the best Currituck rental home experience:
How to get the best rental value:
- The earlier your group can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable properties are reserved very early. Booking your vacation home six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental.
- June, July, and August are high season in Corolla. Booking your vacation home in Fall or Spring months is our best tip for saving money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable properties. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Currituck vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host if your family qualifies for a discount.
- Management companies and individual rental owners often offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Look for your local Currituck area magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitors guide magazines have deals for nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.
Planning and picking a perfect Currituck vacation home:
- Begin by selecting your a vacation week and a budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. ManeStay Modern Coastal Beach Cottage, where wild horses roam free! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Currituck vacation rental search.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, reach out to the property owner before reserving the property. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks.
- Traveling with pets? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Extra fees or charges may be applied to your invoice.
- Does your family require unique amenities? Most rental websites include amenity lists and search filters.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental
Advice for your stay:
- Add the owner's phone number to your smartphone. Take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking the rental when you are out, just like you would back home.
- Upon arrival, note any damages to the property and immediately alert the host. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often an excellent source for finding the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- When it's time to leave, complete a walk-through to make sure you have not leave anything behind. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on great reviews to stimulate new bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
