Booking the best Currituck rental experience:
Find your best deal:
- Reserve your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Reserving a rental home in Fall or Spring is our best tip for saving money on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable homes. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Currituck vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your group qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Booking websites often offer customers an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Look for your local Currituck visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local articles, visitor guides have offers and deals for local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.
Use filters to narrow your rental search:
- First and foremost, have your family agree to the best dates and a spending budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. Beautiful Secluded Carova Beach House - Hot tub - Pet yard with access door has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Currituck rental home search.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is generally accessible online. If they are not listed, email or call the host before reserving the property. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds. You will need to determine what is right for your vacation group.
- Some rental properties allow pets, and others don't. Allowable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the owner about pets before booking.
- If there's a specific Currituck beach you long to visit, search for properties that are either nearby, or those that cater to your desires.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental
Know before you go:
- Take a copy of the property manager's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental. Put the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
- Keep your rental home locked while you are out! Don't let thieves spoil your vacation.
- At Check-in, document any issues with the property and immediately contact the host. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome vacationers disrupting your peace. Apply the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and attractions you would've never otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Just before checking out, complete a final walk-through to confirm you have not leave anything behind. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Remember to leave feedback! Property managers rely on good feedback to stimulate more reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your review find their best vacation rental.
