Tricks and tips for getting the perfect Corolla rental experience:
Sticking to your spending budget:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal NC. Booking your Currituck vacation rental in the Spring or Fall is a good way to save on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable homes.
- Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host if your family qualifies for a price reduction.
- Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Currituck area visitors guides which include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local companies, or through a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Currituck visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
How to select the perfect vacation rental:
- To start, have your group decide on a vacation week and a max budget.
- Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Octopus Oasis 4x4 Beach Of Carova Very Private. 4x4 is needed to access house. has 6 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Currituck rental home search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is almost always accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, email the property owner before you book the home. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches. You'll need to determine what bed configuration is right for your family.
- If there's an individual Currituck destination you are enamored with, browse homes that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
- If your family is traveling with pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly vacation rental. Make sure to ask for information on breed, size, and type requirements. Usually, property managers charge additional pet fees.
Some things to know before you go:
- Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the directions to your smartphone.
- Upon check-in, record any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the property manager. Record all coorespondence.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents lots of problems.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious vacationers bothering your life at home. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and attractions you would've never otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Lock your vacation home while you're away. Protect your property!
- Double-check the property to make sure that you've packed all personal items on check-out day. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the property a final time and scan for any damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, take photographs of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Leave feedback! Property owners rely on excellent feedback to compel future reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
