Pizzazz Pizza of the Outer Banks was founded in 1986 in the small coastal village of Duck, North Carolina. Over the years of perfecting the quality of our menu and service, we now offer a locations in Grandy, Nags Head, Duck and Corolla in the Outer Banks, North Carolina. We're a local family-owned and operated pizza company with a well-trained and eager staff ready to serve you.  All of our dough and sauces are made fresh from scratch every day. With eight wooden and vinyl booths, checkerboard tile floors and two big screen TVS inside, as well as a couple of tables outside, the eatery presents a nice atmosphere to enjoy its multiple Italian offerings. In addition to traditional pizza with toppings and specialty pizzas — California White, Hurricane White, The Greek, Meat Lover’s, Deluxe, Three Cheese and Chicken White, Veggie — there is a good selection of hot subs and salads.

Our latest restaurant is in Nags Head, at the Shoppes at 10.5 off the Bypass at Milepost 10.5.

Please note that while Nags Head and Kitty Hawk are open year-round, the Corolla and Duck restaurants are closed January-March.

What is a boil?

 

Jumbo Shrimp, spicy andouille sausage, red bliss potatoes, corn on the cob and sweet Vidalia onions are layered, seasoned ( with our own special blend) to perfection and expertly cooked together. Served with our homemade cocktail sauce the Outer Banks Boil Company has been dubbed the "Best Pot on the Beach". We pride ourselves on providing quality, fresh and when available, local ingredients. Our spicy andouille sausage is shipped up from Louisiana (for that true low-country boil taste), Want to take it up a notch? You can add seafood such as snow crab legs, clams, mussels and lobster tails!

 

You Steam (takeout) Our BEST POT TO-GO provides you with the opportunity to experience our acclaimed Coastal Low Country Boil without the full-service catering.  Succulent Jumbo Shrimp, spicy andouille sausage, fresh sweet corn, buttery red bliss potatoes, all layered, seasoned to perfection and ready to steam. Snow crab? Lobster Tails? Clams? Mussels? Yes Please!!!!!

 

So easy! Just add liquid (water, beer, white wine) and place on your stovetop and let the magic happen. That’s it! Nothing complicated about it, just steam, serve and enjoy “the Best Pot on the Beach”! Oh, and by the way…cleanup’s a breeze!

Sun Fish Grill is a great stop for fresh local seafood and a variety of delicious specialties. The menu has a good balance whether desiring sea fare, vegetarian choices, chicken or steak for lunch and dinner. You can make up a meal with appetizers, soups and salads or order wraps, rolls, burgers, baskets, plates and platters. Enjoy traditional mussels with a wine and garlic sauce, crab bites, Ahi tuna and wings for starters. Dive into Lobster Bisque, award-winning New England Clam Chowder and a variety of salads including the Summer Fruit and Veggie salad that features mangos, blueberries, strawberries, asparagus, zucchini, yellow squash and baby spinach topped with avocados. Wraps and rolls include lobster, crab, tuna, chicken and veggie choices. Choose from chef specialties: fresh tuna, New York Strip, pasta dishes, Chicken Florentine, classic crabcakes and our signature nachos. Our Fisherman’s Platter, a house specialty includes fresh fish of the day, shrimp, oysters, and scallops. 

 

For most people, a vacation is a chance to unwind and escape from a day to day. However, some find inspiration and prospective business opportunities during their travels.

 

That’s what happened to John Hugh and his wife, Donna, when they were traveling south from Maine on vacation. “We took a drive down to Georgia and made our way back up and fell in love with Corolla,” he remembers.

 

In Maine, John worked as a fisherman, scallop diver and lobsterman, along with owning a lobster wharf. There, he also opened his own restaurant, bringing the offerings of the sea to diner’s tables.

It wasn’t until that trip to scenic and serene Corolla that John considered opening an additional restaurant. When a building in the Monterey Shopping Center was available to purchase, he made his move and opened Sun Fish Grill in 2009.
