Paradise vacation at The Salty Piper

We had such a lovely vacation week at the Salty Piper. We have finally found our forever house after coming to the OBX 9 times in 15 years. It is close to the beach, boardwalk right behind the house is awesome, pet friendly, sleeps our family well, lovely kitchen. We have already booked this house for next year same time. Looking forward to it already. Thank you so much for opening up your home to people needing a respite at the ocean.

Nice Place, Complicated Communication

Figuring out who to contact and what to expect was difficult. We rented through vrbo but were supposed to download a Beach Realty app which was not user friendly. The place was very comfortable for our family of four plus one dog. We appreciated the short walk to the beach, but were unprepared for the many steps up and down to reach the beach. We had expected a beach view, but did not have one. It took several calls to the variety of numbers that were in the various communications - plus filling out a form I found in order to get the disposal to work. We only had to wait 24 hours which was fine. I called in advance to ask if I should rent chairs and was told that the property did not come with chairs. When we arrived, we found a large storage unit with large letters saying, "BEACH CHAIRS". The ROKU password was nowhere to be found, so our tv options were limited. Next time, I will only rent from a vrbo owner.

Salty Piper was a Hit!

My family and I had a wonderful time staying here in June of 2023; we were pretty nervous about going on our first vacation with a young baby but a comfortable, clean and conveniently located home base made the trip a big success.

Location a quick walk from a fairly quiet beach was great; but also don't underestimate the benefit of being right around the corner from Harris Teeter (and Duck Donuts!). Amenities were great, especially the swing and hammock to hang out on the deck. Cleaning crew did an amazing job and the home was spotless when we arrived.

My one quibble was the wifi was a bit unstable and occasionally had some issues.

The perfect house!

Wow - this house was just perfect! The layout of adult and kid bedrooms, the beautiful beach decor, and the easy beach access was just amazing. This is the first time in over 20 years of coming to the OBX as an adult that I felt like the house had exactly what I needed - everything in the kitchen, a nice hose/outside area for cleaning off our dog and kids, chairs and beach toys, a basketball hoop, a comfy couch for hanging out, games for the family to play, a beautiful deck with comfy chairs. the list goes on and on. Considering this is a dog friendly house, this was the LOVELIEST house I've ever stayed in - so well maintained. My whole family kept saying how much we loved this house. Thanks for a wonderful trip!

Another Wonderful Beach Week!

We have stayed at the Salty Piper (formerly C's by the Sea) for quite a few years, and we have already made our reservations for next year! The house is very nice, comfortable, and close to the beach, just a walk down the boardwalk and the stairs over the dunes. The house is well maintained and stocked. It's a nice peaceful neighborhood. It's our home away from home for one glorious week a year. We have stayed in several rentals in the same vicinity and the Salty Piper is the best for our needs!

Meeting in the middle; NC meets Virginia

The home was clean and very well stocked. We appreciated the ability to be able to bring our dogs and loved that there were dog couch covers provided. The effort that the owner took to make their home inviting and comfortable was evident. The access ( boardwalk) to the beach was great. My suggestion for a future upgrade would be a gas-grill. We were disappointed with the management company that the linens we ordered were not there upon our arrival. It was so late when we arrived we had no other choice , but to sleep on our beach towels. When I called the next Am they were apologetic, but refused to offer any discount for the linens mistake; stating “ it does not work that way”. I decided to get a refund and drove 30 mins. to Walmart to buy linens. Other than that inconvenience our stay was lovely.

What a great place to stay

We loved the house and mostly the realtor that helped us! The ONLY thing that was difficult were the stairs and we knew that before going we just thought(my mom and Larry) they would be able to get up better. They are elderly and it was quite difficult for them. But, what a great house to stay in!! Our family had the best time in Corolla (first timers on the Outer Banks)!! Would defiantly use Beach Realty again!!!

Nice beach rental, close to beach

Great stay at the 4Cs. Very close to beach, which was a huge plus. Nice size rooms, clean bathrooms and living area. My only complaint would be the kitchen pots/pans etc. need an upgrade and more of them. I had a party of 9 and the pots/pans and general lack of kitchen ware made it difficult to cook dinners so we ended up eating out most of the time.

A good vacation

We had a good stay at C’s by the seau. The house is a little tight for ten people, especially in the kitchen and the living room. We did alright, though. The house was clean when we got there. The barbecue was broken, but we received a replacement after a couple of days. The walk to the beach is not far. We would have liked a little more deck chairs. The picnic table is in need of a little love.

C's By The Sea - Seas the Day!

As usual, we enjoyed our OBX week in C's By the Sea. The house have everything we need and is not far from the beach. - just down the boardwalk and the stairs across the dunes. We like the key-less entry and the instant entry at 4:00. The beds were made and the linens in place.

Vitamin C by the Sea!

This was another repeat year at C's by the Sea. We love the house and especially the location. It is such a short walk on the boardwalk and over the dune to the ocean. The house is well appointed and well maintained. It has everything we need. The only thing I would have changed this year is a new comforter in the upstairs master bedroom. Beach Realty is a great company to rent from as well.

Wonderful time!!

We arrived on Saturday September 24th the week after the remnants of tropical storm Julia. When we pulled into the neighborhood we were a little worried about all of the standing water we had to drive through but we pulled up to our house to find it completely dry(thank goodness!! The house looked just like the pictures we had seen on the website. The house is very nicely decorated and clean, it really felt like home. My only complaint might be the beds are a little to hard. It was nice that the house inside and out looked just like the second guessing!! We will definitely be back to stay again. Whoops....one more thing.....our cable was out the whole week we were there, but we didn't really mind because we weren't there to watch tv we came for the beach.

Our Anuual Week at OBX

We are repeat renters at Cs By The Sea. and the house if one of our favorites we have ever stayed in. It is well laid out, well furnished, and within a convenient distance of the beach - just down the boardwalk and over the dune. We did have an issue this year that we reported and was promised it would be taken care of - which it was not. I even reported it again at checkout, but received no response. An apology or acknowledgement of some kind would have been nice. We have already reserved our week for next year.

Funky layout- but lovely home

The layout of the house is funky- 1 king upstairs and 3 bedrooms downstairs- one of which is the second king. The modern renovations are nice and the house decor is lovely- but the layout is not necessarily convenient for 2 families with young children. Some of the spaces were tight- like the kitchen and the bathrooms. But overall lovely home. Absolutely love the location and proximity to the private walkway access to the beach. Soo easy with toddlers. Nice quiet neighborhood, very close to harris teeter and nearby stores. I would rent again- but prob for one family- not two families with young children. Keys were easy to pick up from after hours mailbox and the whole online rental process was easy. The staff answered my emails within 24 hrs- everything was easy.

A week at the beach.

The house was clean, newly painted and renovated. It was bright, relaxing, and very comfy. It was a short distance from the beach and very close to the Harris Teeter. In the 3 years we have been coming to Corolla this has been so far the best house we have rented.

This house is beautiful, welcoming, spacious, well-furnished, quiet, and immaculate. The LR & DR furniture was comfortable and ample to accommodate lots of people graciously. On the large porches, the hammocks and furnishings were equally hospitable. The great private outdoor shower, several TVs and fine WiFi were appreciated.
Rainy days no problem as we enjoyed being in this exceptionally lovely house so much.
Special thanks for the puzzles and games.
We have already sung the praises of this exceptional house to other potential guests. It contributed a great deal to our happy vacation.
